The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Payroll Officer to join the Support Services teamand assist in areas such as Bookkeeping and Payroll in this dynamic role. This is a permanent, full-time position with a 40-hour working week with flexible start and end times.

Position duties may include, but are not limited to;

Accounts:

  • General accounting duties (accounts payable/receivable)
  • Supplier account maintenance and reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly payment runs
  • Daily bank reconciliations
  • Credit card reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Update fixed asset register
  • Journal entries, accruals and prepayments
  • Petty cash
  • Assist with Debtor Collections
  • Assist with maintaining Management Systems documentation
  • Assist with updating company registers
  • Assist with preparing monthly financial reports
  • Assist with payroll tax and superannuation processing
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll process

About you:

  • Extensive experience in bookkeeping or in accounts payable/receivable roles
  • A tertiary qualification in bookkeeping
  • A firm understanding of accounting policies, including GST
  • Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processes
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience working with the Xero accounting package and/or MYOB Acumatica preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Flexibility and a positive, can-do attitude
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to take charge of tasks and work independently within a team
  • Willingness and flexibility to assist with administrative duties
