About the role (Temporary full-time for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension)
The successful position holder will provide timely and effective advice to members and their staff, parliamentary staff and other stakeholders in the use of their parliamentary entitlements and interpretation of the Parliamentary Remuneration Tribunal Determinations and rulings. Other key tasks will include responsibility for the budgeting and reporting of Members' expenditure using financial accounting and reporting systems including SAP.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you:
You will possess prior experience in a Parliamentary or equivalent Government setting, with a demonstrated capacity to provide guidance and advice in connection with a range of administrative guidelines, policies, and legislative instruments. The role requires demonstrated financial reporting skills using SAP financial accounting systems, as well as a proven ability to manage highly confidential information with discretion and professionalism.

This role will require you to play an active role in the budgeting and reporting of Members' expenditure claims as well as operating as a primary contact for escalated expenditure claims from the Finance team. Using examples outline:
