Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. About you:

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised Administrative Coordinator to join the team. In this role, you'll provide high-level administrative and data support to the Director and senior team members. You will coordinate the business needs of the Director, supporting the operation of the Budget Estimates, and work closely with internal teams to keep everything running seamlessly. Confident in resolving complex enquiries, you will provide accurate information with ease and professionalism.

  • The Administrative Coordinator works with senior executives and multiple teams. What administrative tools and strategies do you use to structure your daily tasks and manage competing priorities within tight timeframes?

  • This role will require you to have oversight of the branch's day to day output and you will have a significant level of independence; often the first point of contact, and expected to provide immediate responses rather than escalate. Can you give examples of roles where you have been in that position, and explain how you determined which issues to action yourself and which to escalate?
