About the position:
This is a newly established role; it involves advancing maturity and promoting education in asset management practices. You will establish and promote a consistent, organisation wide approach to asset management, engaging multiple stakeholders with diverse and sometimes competing priorities as well as navigating complex environments for the operation and maintenance of assets, including understanding the appropriate level of service, scope and scale required.

Based in NSW Parliament, the Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is a specialist service department working to support the operation of the Parliament of NSW by providing logistical support and advice to members, the Departments of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly and the people of New South Wales. Our office is found close to public transport in the heart of Macquarie Street CBD, next to the State Library and Sydney's Botanic Gardens.

About you:
You are likely to come from a government or local government environment that has large holding of assets across many asset classes and be experience in organising asset valuations to meet accounting standards. Specifically, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in asset management, engineering, finance or related field
- Strong attention to detail with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience across centralised governance and decentralised service delivery
- Clear and confident communicator, able to influence and advise diverse stakeholders
- Collaborative style, building strong relationships while respecting local expertise
- Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning and day-to-day issues
- Adaptability and resilience in complex, changing environments
- High standards of integrity, accountability and stewardship
