About the business

Ryans Quality Meats is a second generation family run butcher and foodservice business. With a proud history which spans over nearly 60 years, Ryan's Quality Meats specialises in supplying beef, lamb, pork, poultry and value-add gourmet products to the wholesale, retail and foodservice sectors.

Operating out of two locations, Jandakot and Bunbury, Ryan's Quality Meats is in need for an Administration/Accounts/Payroll clerk.

About the role

Working with a small team, the Administration/Accounts/Payroll clerk role will be a part of all aspects of the Admin and Accounts team.

This is a part-time position requiring 30-35 hours per week.

Duties include:

  • Assisting Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable with day to day data processing including verifying, classifying and recording data, assisting with payment allocations and review of outstanding ledgers.
  • Processing the weekly payroll to be signed off by Management.
  • Assisting with data entry of customer orders, liaising with external stakeholders and other administrative tasks.
  • Liaising between two sites regarding admin and production requirements
  • Running and ensuring month end processes are completed within allocated timeframes.
  • Miscellaneous admin tasks including but not limited to Uniform Stock orders, Stationery orders, Staff Amenities etc.
  • Ad hoc tasks as assigned by management.

Skills and experience

To be considered for the position, the candidate will need to be punctual, flexible and reliable with excellent communication skills and good attention to detail.

Australian work authorisation is required for this role.

The ideal candidate will have 3+ years' experience within a similar role and poses the following skills and qualities:

  • Certificate 3 in Bookkeeping or equivalent qualification
  • MYOB knowledge
  • Minimum 2+ years experience with MYOB is required
  • Moderate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Strong customer service skills & ability to build relationship with stakeholders
  • Effective communicator who is reliable and flexible with strong attention to detail
