About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Hotel Collingwood. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience who thrives in a busy pub environment and is ready to take on a key leadership position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
- Manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and foster a positive team culture
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and cost control
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
- Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety compliance
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- A passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes
