About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Sous Chef to join the kitchen team at Hotel Collingwood. This role is ideal for someone with proven experience who thrives in a busy pub environment and is ready to take on a key leadership position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations
  • Oversee food preparation, cooking, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality
  • Manage kitchen staff, delegate tasks, and foster a positive team culture
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and cost control
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Contribute to menu planning and seasonal specials

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior CDP
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations and food safety compliance
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
  • A passion for creating high-quality, innovative dishes
