Project Sales Consultant – NSW/ACT

Kattsafe are looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Project Sales Consultant to join our Height Safety team and drive project-based sales across NSW and the ACT.

Focused on solving technical challenges, you thrive on building trusted partnerships and enjoy seeing projects through from concept to completion.

Our Project Sales Consultants are at the centre of our consultative sales process — working with builders, designers, and installers to deliver compliant, practical height safety solutions. We're looking for someone who is technically minded, commercially sharp, and customer-obsessed — someone who can manage a busy pipeline, educate stakeholders, and bring projects to life with professionalism and care.

In this role, you'll guide clients through our proven sales process, provide compliant design advice, match ideal installers to the right projects, and oversee outcomes from initial enquiry to handover. You'll work closely with our internal Business Development Managers, Technical, Drafting, Design, and Operations teams to ensure each project is well-scoped, well-documented, and successfully delivered.

JOB SUMMARY

Daily tasks could include:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to confirm project specifications, develop compliant design plans, and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Kattsafe-approved installers to efficiently locate the best suited installer for the project, resulting in a profitable sales order and satisfied stakeholders.
  • Manage individual projects through all relevant stages of consultative selling, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Prepare detailed project handovers for BDM or oversee the project through to installation, ensuring client satisfaction and compliance.
  • Monitor and analyse project sales performance to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for continuous improvement.
  • Participate in regular team training sessions to maintain a unified and strategic approach to project sales and technical solutions.
  • Ensure accurate, up-to-date records for all assigned construction projects, including specifications, timelines, and communications.
  • Leverage industry knowledge and networks to identify and pursue new market opportunities, supporting business growth objectives.
  • Maintain clear, proactive communication with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless project coordination.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

We're looking for a motivated individual with:

  • Proven experience in project-based sales, preferably in the construction, height safety, or manufacturing industries. (Current experience working within the Height Safety or Construction Industry).
  • Strong understanding of fall protection, roof safety, or access systems and relevant Australian standards and compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience managing a sales pipeline in a consultative, project-based sales environment with the ability to book and lead discovery and solution meetings that build trust and secure buy-in.
  • Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and provide practical, compliant solutions, educating clients and designers on technical solutions, compliance, and the benefits of specific system configurations.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems and project tracking tools to manage pipeline and stakeholder communication (eg. Hubspot, INFOR)
  • Qualification in Project Management or similar discipline
  • Experience working and building relationships with commercial builders, designers, and installers in a consultative, solutions-based capacity, matching ideal project partners to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Ability to work autonomously, proactively managing time and priorities to meet project deadlines.
