The Hybrid Sales & Operations (Project Consultant) is responsible for managing day to day business in a designated region, combining both sales and technical/project management responsibilities. This role manages the full sales cycle - from lead qualification to technical consultation and solution design, with the goal of building a strong customer base.

As demand grows, this position will transition into a more specialised role, focusing primarily on project management or sales and support added to the team where required.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Functions

  • Proactively look for new opportunities and maintain existing customer relationships
  • Qualify and manage leads via phone, email, and digital platforms.
  • Conduct virtual sales meetings (phone/Zoom/Teams).
  • Conduct estimating and proposal creation
  • Close small to medium-sized deals independently.
  • Manage CRM pipeline, ensuring leads and opportunities are tracked and followed up.
  • Plan and conduct face-to-face meetings with prospects and customers in the region.
  • Provide weekly sales activity reports and forecasts to management.

Project Management Functions

  • Attend customer meetings (virtually or in person) for high-value or complex opportunities.
  • Provide technical consultation, demonstrations, and solution recommendations.
  • Scope customer requirements and work with internal teams to design feasible solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver proposals, estimates, and technical pricing for custom or project-based work.
  • Ensure proposed solutions are technically sound, cost-effective, and aligned with delivery capability.
  • Act as a bridge between Sales and Operations to ensure smooth project handoffs.
  • Schedule staff for projects within region
  • Arrange/allocate/manage materials for projects within region
  • Manage leading hands/site teams within region

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Number/value of new proposals/quotes per month.
  • Number of follow up calls/actions per month
  • Number of virtual and in-person customer meetings held.
  • Revenue growth in the assigned region.
  • Accuracy of estimates vs. actual delivery costs.
  • Customer satisfaction and retention metrics.
  • CRM compliance (timely updates, accurate data entry).

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to manage the full sales cycle, from qualify to closing.
  • Technical aptitude and ability to explain solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Organised and disciplined with time, CRM and pipeline management.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and remote.
  • Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Willingness to travel when necessary for customer meetings and/or company events.
