Sales Representative - Scrap Metal Recycling
$80K–$100K + Super + Commission + Car Allowance + Laptop + Phone + Fuel
Various VIC Locations | Field-based Role | Full-time
A leading player in the scrap metal recycling industry is looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join their high-performing team. With a strong commitment to sustainability and the circular economy, this business has been exporting metals like steel, aluminium, copper, and e-waste to international markets for over 15 years — and they're just getting started.
This is a field-based sales role, ideal for someone who thrives on building relationships, closing deals, and being out on the road. You will need to prove that your a self starter and someone that wants to progress within an organisation.
What You'll Be Doing
- Visit industrial and commercial clients to purchase scrap metal (ferrous & non-ferrous)
- Provide on-site pricing
- Quote, negotiate, and coordinate collections/logistics
- Grow your portfolio of material per week over time
- Proactively prospect through cold calling and canvassing
- Attend client functions and industry networking events
- Monday in the office, Tuesday–Friday on the road
What We're Looking For
- B2B sales experience in metals, scrap metals or recycling
- Strong negotiation and customer service skills
- Confidence in quoting, pricing, and closing deals
- High level of self-motivation and a reliable, work-ready attitude
- Maturity and professionalism – someone who shows up and delivers
- Ability to read the room, engage people, and build trust quickly
