About the role
As a Junior Business Development Representative (BDR), you'll be part of our national BD team based in Melbourne. Your mission is simple: generate pipeline and book qualified meetings for our Business Development Managers.
You'll use tools like Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Firmable to research, reach out, and engage with potential business customers. You'll be at the front line of our growth engine, helping us reach thousands of Australian SMEs and corporates. This role will also contain a development pathway into a BDM, after reaching specific success criteria and targets set.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and research potential business customers across key industries (professional services, trades, hospitality, retail, etc.)
- Execute structured outbound cadences (email, phone, and LinkedIn) to generate new opportunities
- Qualify leads based on business size, industry, and payment volume potential
- Book high-quality meetings for the Business Development Managers
- Maintain accurate records of activity and pipeline in Salesforce
- Collaborate with marketing, partnerships, and BD teams to refine targeting and messaging
- Share insights and feedback from conversations to help shape outreach strategy
About you
- 1–2 years of experience in
 sales, business development, or customer-facing
 roles (BDR, SDR, inside sales, or similar)
- Confident communicator, comfortable on the phone and in writing
- Organised, goal-driven, and resilient, you like hitting targets and improving week to week
- Curious and coachable, open to feedback and eager to learn how to sell in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using CRM tools (Salesforce or similar) and prospecting platforms (LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Firmable, etc.)
- Strong interest in
 fintech, payments, or loyalty/rewards
