As a Ballroom Dance Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality dance instruction in a supportive and engaging environment. You will teach students of varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, helping them improve their technique, style, and overall performance. Your primary goal will be to foster a love for ballroom dancing while instilling confidence and ensuring an enjoyable learning experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lesson plans suitable for students of different skill levels, ages, and interests.
  • Teach a variety of ballroom dance styles, including but not limited to Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing, and Salsa.
  • Provide clear instructions, demonstrations, and constructive feedback to facilitate skill development and growth.
  • Ensure a safe and positive learning environment by promoting proper technique, body alignment, and injury prevention.
  • Adapt teaching methods to accommodate individual learning styles and needs.
  • Coordinate and participate in periodic student evaluations, competitions, and showcases.
  • Stay updated with current trends and developments in ballroom dancing by attending workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Build rapport with students and maintain effective communication, provide progress reports and address any concerns or questions.
  • Collaborate with other instructors and staff to organize events, performances, and social dance gatherings.
  • Assist in promotional activities to attract new students and contribute to the growth of the dance program.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and proficiency in various dance styles.
  • Strong teaching abilities and the capacity to motivate and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to different learning styles.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.
  • Previous teaching experience in a dance studio, community center, or similar setting is preferred.
  • Certification in dance instruction or related qualifications is a plus.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
