Position Information

Seven Hills Public School in Sydney's western suburbs is a small, diverse K-6 school with 134 students from varied socio-economic backgrounds, including 4 Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students and 64% from EAL/D backgrounds. In 2025, we opened an Autism Support Unit. Our experienced staff provide high-quality, inclusive education tailored to each student. Programs include academics, dance, choir, sport, debating, drama, and STEM to develop students' talents. We encourage every student to achieve their best. Our students are hardworking, caring, confident, and resilient learners. The school's bright, welcoming environment promotes continuous improvement. Selection Criteria

Approval to teach special education and/or willingness to teach students who have additional learning needs, including Autism and intellectual disabilities, with proven skills in applying strategies to support communication, sensory, social and behavioural needs.

Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to contribute positively to whole school culture and and collaborate effectively with students, staff, parents and external agencies.

Ability to differentiate curriculum and implement individualised, culturally responsive and inclusive learning programs that maximise student success.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
