About Us
Founded in 1999 and now part of the Australian School of Performing Arts, REDed inspires thousands of children every year through fun, engaging school-based dance programs. As home of the Australian Girls Choir and REDed, we're proud to be Australia's leading performing arts organisation for young people.
The Role
We're seeking casual dance instructors for Term and for 2026 to teach curriculum-aligned and extra-curricular dance programs in primary schools. Contracts are short-term, during school hours.
Key Term locations:
- Bondi
- St Ives
More contracts will be available across Sydney in 2026.
What We're looking for
Successful REDed applicants will have:
- Passion for performing arts and education
- Experience (a little or a lot) in music, dance and/or performing arts education. It's desirable but not necessary to have specific dance teacher experience. You might be an aerobics teacher or gymnast, or a trained dancer with an interest in teaching.
- Experience leading groups of children (5–11 years)
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
- A valid Working with Children's Check (required)
- Qualifications in education or the arts are a bonus but not essential.
