The role:
Summary of Position
We are seeking a skilled business analyst with workforce planning experience, with a key focus on aviation manpower planning, to commence immediately. Reporting to the CTO and working with our project team and software partners, you'll be working on a project for a major Australian airline.
In this role, you will:
- Discuss, understand and document the as-is business rules and any to-be business requirements with our clients, specifically for Air Crew long term planning.
- Conduct discovery sessions with our clients to capture and define business, functional and planning requirements.
- Work together with our Software Configuration lead to map the clients business requirements into the new software system.
- Assist with testing and prototyping to demonstrate the new software meets their requirements.
- Assist our project team in meetings, client workshops to perform the duties as directed by the CTO or project manager.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of two year's experience in a crew planning, rostering, or workforce planning role in aviation or a similar industry with experience planning for large complex teams.
- Experience in applying Industrial, regulatory rules or enterprise agreements to workforce planning.
- Advanced IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, work well under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills well suited to building business relationships with existing and potential customers and managing stakeholders at all levels
- Knowledge of aviation regulations, industrial agreements, and company policies, so that the new software is implemented correctly
