Business Development Manager – Hydraulics | Mobile Equipment
Hydraulic Components | Industrial Services
We're seeking a technically minded Business Development Manager to join a global leader in Hydraulic solutions, supporting Transport & heavy equipment industries across Australia.
Our client is an internationally recognised OEM, manufacturing a wide range of hydraulic components including Pumps, Motors, Valves, Gearboxes and custom systems used in Construction, Mining, Agriculture, Transport and more. With a strong Australian presence and aggressive growth plans in place, they're investing in NSW by appointing a dedicated BDM to drive market expansion.
This is a newly created, autonomous role focused on developing new business and reigniting dormant accounts, with full support from a national sales and technical team.
Your Key Responsibilities
• Develop and execute territory sales plans to meet and exceed revenue targets.
• Deliver technical support to customers around product selection and hydraulic applications.
• Build relationships with OEMs, Heavy Equipment users, and Distributors in target sectors.
• Manage the sales pipeline through effective CRM use, forecasting, and reporting.
• Grow the existing customer base and win back lapsed accounts.
• Keep up to date on market activity, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
What You'll Bring
• Proven success in a technical BDM or Sales Engineer role within Hydraulics, or similar industrial sectors
• Strong understanding of mobile or heavy equipment applications.
• Mechanical trade or technical background (e.g., diesel fitter, fluid power, gearbox specialist) preferred.
• Self-motivated, autonomous, and highly organised in managing a territory.
• Confident communicating technical solutions to a range of stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel throughout Sydney/NSW as required.
