The Team & Role
As an Account Manager at SevenRooms, you'll be responsible for managing your own portfolio of accounts and achieving an individual revenue quota that directly contributes to the team's overall targets. This role requires you to nurture client relationships and drive revenue growth within existing accounts. This role focuses on understanding client needs and identifying upsell and expansion opportunities that enhance customer value and contribute to overall sales targets. You'll work closely with cross functional teams to ensure clients derive maximum value from the SevenRooms platform, ultimately supporting customer satisfaction, renewals, and increased product adoption.
The SevenRooms SMB Sales team is on a mission to redefine and reshape the hospitality industry for restaurant operators around the globe. SevenRooms Account Managers are trusted advisors and expert relationship-builders, approaching every conversation with potential clients in a consultative manner to identify their existing business gaps and thinking outside the box to present the perfect solution. We are disrupting the current landscape by opening the door for hospitality operators to truly own their guest relationships, reducing dependency on 3rd party networks, and streamlining operations. We are determined to share our operator-first and operator-only guest engagement solution, and to be a true and trusted partner to all hospitality businesses.
Following the recent acquisition of SevenRooms by DoorDash, we maintain a unified hiring process—please inform your recruiter if you've applied to either company previously to avoid duplicate applications.
What You'll Do
- Develop and execute account strategies to drive renewals, upsells (add-ons), cross-sells, and expansion opportunities within existing accounts, meeting or exceeding sales quotas.
- Take ownership of the renewal process, proactively engaging with clients well in advance of contract expiration to discuss ongoing goals, performance metrics, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and execute renewal strategies by demonstrating the continued value of SevenRooms and aligning with the client's evolving needs.
- Identify and close opportunities to introduce clients to additional SevenRooms features, integrations, and services that align with their business needs and growth objectives.
- Proactively pitch and close upsell solutions such as advanced reporting, marketing tools, or additional software modules to increase client engagement and platform adoption.
- Cultivate strong, trust-based relationships with key decision-makers, acting as a trusted advisor to understand their business goals and align SevenRooms' solutions to meet their needs.
- Lead presentations and product demonstrations to reinforce the value of SevenRooms and educate clients on product features.
- Partner with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Success, Product, and Marketing, to advocate for client needs and drive customer-focused outcomes.
- Provide regular updates on account activity, potential upsell opportunities, and forecasting data to support the Account Management team in tracking overall performance against department goals.
Who You Are
- 3+ years in account management, sales, or a customer success role with a strong track record in meeting or exceeding revenue targets, preferably within a Marketing SaaS company.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and drive upsell/cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate solutions and engage with clients at all levels.
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to leverage insights to support sales strategies and decision-making.
- Deep commitment to understanding and addressing client needs, delivering exceptional service that drives results.
- Exceptional project management abilities with a proactive approach to managing priorities and meeting deadlines.
