A leading private equity fund is seeking an experienced Investment Director to join its growing team in Sydney. With a flexible investment mandate, the fund partners with founder-led and privately owned businesses across Australia, deploying growth capital through both majority and minority transactions.

The Role

The Investment Director will be a key member of the deal team, responsible for originating, evaluating, and executing investments as well as supporting portfolio value creation. Core responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing new opportunities and building strong relationships with founders, management teams, and advisers
  • Leading end-to-end transaction processes including due diligence, financial modelling, structuring, and documentation
  • Partnering with portfolio companies to drive operational improvements, strategic growth initiatives, and exit readiness
  • Supporting fundraising and investor engagement as required

Candidate Profile

We are seeking individuals who bring:

  • 8+ years' experience with prior private equity or principal investing experience essential
  • Strong execution track record in originating and executing private equity investments
  • Commercial depth and financial modelling expertise, with the ability to lead complex deal negotiations
  • Exposure to working with founder-led or mid-market businesses
  • A collaborative style, entrepreneurial mindset, and ability to thrive in a lean, high-performance team
