About Us:

We're part of a growing hospitality group and are looking for a driven Sous Chef to join our Chapel Street team as we continue to evolve and elevate the dining experience.

About the Role:

As Sous Chef, you'll work directly with the Head Chef to execute a dynamic, seasonal menu featuring tandoor, modern street snacks, and contemporary Indian mains. You'll lead day-to-day kitchen operations, maintain high standards of consistency, and bring creative energy to the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee kitchen operations during service and prep
  • Support menu development, costing, and specials creation
  • Maintain quality control and ensure dishes are plated to standard
  • Lead and train kitchen staff; foster a positive and disciplined culture
  • Manage ordering, stock rotation, and supplier communication
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards

What We're Looking For:

  • 2–4 years' experience as a Sous Chef or strong CDP ready to step up
  • Experience in modern or progressive Indian cuisine preferred
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Calm under pressure with excellent attention to detail
  • Passion for creativity, innovation, and consistency
  • Full working rights in Australia
