Izakaya DOMO located at Melbourne's iconic GPO, is growing and we are seeking for a passionate, energetic, and creative Sous Chef to support our Head Chef in delivering high-quality Japanese cuisine. If you are ready to bring your skills and flair to a dynamic team, we'd love to hear from you.
We are after someone who's confident in the daily operations of a busy kitchen and brings strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence. You'll play a key role in ensuring all dishes are prepared and presented to our standards, while also maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised workplace.

What you will need:
- Great communication skills and an ability to work well as part of the team.
- At least 2 years Japanese Restaurant Chef role.
- At least 1 year Sous Chef role.
- At least 2 years Izakaya Chef experience highly regarded.
- At least 2 year of Fish Cutting and Handling experience.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
- Japanese language skill is a plus
- Mon-Sun, 38 hours shift work.
- You must have a valid work visa(i.e. Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident Visa or New Zealand Citizen....)
