FIVE is Melbourne's newest vineyard, located only 30km north from Melbourne CBD in the growing suburb Mernda. Surrounded by 30,000 vines, the venue at FIVE is designed by award winning architects and interior designers and hosts guests for large corporate and private events, to wine bar enthusiasts, as well as private dining experiences. FIVE has 5 dedicated spaces for patrons to enjoy including a 120 seats in The Wine Bar with beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces. FIVE is not only the largest tourism destination in the area but an absolute gem for the locals.
The role
Working in a small team, we are seeking out an experienced sales manager who is committed to excellence, driving sales and delivering memorable guest experiences. This role will suit someone with a passion for the industry and bringing dream events to life. FIVE is team focused and the successful applicant will be a natural leader with the ability to work well in an ever changing environment.
This individual will:
- have a passion for growth and the FIVE brand.
- have a minimum 3 years experience in a similar role.
- proven track record of setting and achieving sales targets.
- good understanding of the hospitality industry and its operations is essential.
- be well presented with charisma and an energetic approach.
- be well-organised with the ability to manage your own workflow and meet deadlines.
- have excellent written and verbal skills.
- have a high attention to detail.
- be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.)
- have the ability to problem solve.
- be able to work evenings and weekends when required.
Your role will be to manage the sales process for a variety of events and wine bar reservations, including corporate, private and wedding celebrations. These responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- Respond to incoming event enquiries and conduct venue tours.
- Drive and close sales.
- Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to generate new leads and expand existing client relationships.
- Prepare event quotations and venue hire agreements.
- Liaise with third party suppliers.
- Build brand awareness by hosting venue events and attending industry events, networking opportunities, and expos.
- Host open days/evenings for potential clients.
- Collaborate with the event planning and operations teams to ensure seamless event execution.
- Track and report on sales performance, including forecasts, revenue, and client satisfaction.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activity, and market demands to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
The role is a full time position. The successful applicant must be available to work evenings and weekends.
