About the Role

Our client is a leading Australian consumer goods business seeking a dynamic and commercially minded Senior National eCommerce & Marketplace Manager to lead the performance and growth of its digital sales channels.

Based in Melbourne's north, this newly created role will oversee key online and marketplace partnerships, driving commercial outcomes and elevating digital presence across major platforms such as Amazon, The Iconic, Temple & Webster, Ebay, Woolworths Rewards, David Jones, and Myer.

This position combines strategic leadership with hands-on execution, managing channel growth, digital content, and commercial planning to deliver strong sales and brand outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and grow national eCommerce and marketplace partnerships
  • Drive sales, margin, and growth performance across digital channels
  • Develop and execute channel and promotional strategies in collaboration with Marketing
  • Oversee digital merchandising and content optimisation for a best-in-class online presence
  • Manage P&L delivery, forecasting, and demand planning across marketplaces
  • Onboard and develop new digital partners and drop-ship opportunities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Planning, Supply Chain, and Merchandising teams
  • Represent the business at trade events and presentations, negotiating commercial agreements

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience managing large-scale eCommerce or marketplace accounts
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success in P&L ownership and sales delivery
  • Background in digital commerce within wholesale, FMCG, or consumer goods industries
  • Deep understanding of the eCommerce landscape, platforms, and analytics tools
  • Confident negotiator and relationship builder with senior stakeholders
  • Highly organised, analytical, and skilled in driving process improvements
  • Tertiary qualification in Business, Marketing, or related discipline
  • Experience with Amazon, Profitero, or Salsify platforms (highly regarded)
