Ipswich, Australia Connect Community Workforce Specialists PTY LTD Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

ConnectCWS is an Out of Home Care Service Provider that has been built from the ground up, by Youth Workers, for Youth Workers.  With this in mind, our people are our focus, and our houses are designed to create healing homes for the young people in our care.  We work hard every day to provide these young people with a sense of community and support to discover a sense of purpose and connection.

We deliver services aligned with our practice framework and values, which are:

  • Compassion
  • Curiosity
  • Playfulness

We are incredibly proud of the care we provide to our young people and are seeking a creative and motivated Service Manager to support our Team Leaders, who support our staff, who support our young people to be the best versions of themselves.

We maintain a small, Boutique culture but all have big hearts for the work that we do.

About The Role:

You will be the direct line manager for five of our Team Leaders, and growing.

You will carry the responsibility for the implementation of our frameworks, policies and best practice procedures.

You will oversee compliance to the Human Services Quality Framework.

You will provide a high level of professionalism when working with our stakeholders.

You will be working as a part of our Senior Leadership Team, and report directly to our Operations Manager.

You will facilitate Team meetings for your Team Leaders, along with individual supervision for them.  You will set the culture of our Out of Home Care program

About You:

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • A passion for working within a dynamic and growing team of Youth Workers and Team Leaders.
  • A mind for innovation and a commitment to process.
  • The ability to provide quality PACE support and supervision to our team of Team Leaders so that they, in turn, can provide therapeutic care to our young people.
  • Leadership experience.
  • A strong focus on organisation and structure within a Residential Service, developing and supporting a team to implement therapeutic care for our Young People.
  • A sense of humour and a team-first attitude towards working together.
  • A child focussed and self-reflective practice and therefore be open to giving and receiving feedback that is ultimately in the best interests of our children.
  • All the usual compliances apply: residency, blue card, license, 1st aid/CPR and qualification.

Ideally you'll be trained in some form of therapeutic practice framework, an appropriate qualification of a Diploma or higher in a related field.  You'll be open to learning and implementing new therapeutic practices and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a Leadership role within a licensed HSQF program.  If you have ever practiced on the floor as a Youth Worker this is a bonus, as we see this as "lived experience".

If you have a passion for seeing great outcomes for kids in care and enjoy working within a dynamic, supportive, cutting edge, growing and fun team we would love to hear from you
