In this role, you will oversee multiple Supported Independent Living (SIL) residences and Community Access Supports (CAS) participants care and supports, ensure high standards of care and service delivery. The position requires leadership skills, problem-solving ability, and a focus on maintaining service quality.
About the Role:
The Service Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operation of SIL homes and community access services, ensuring that participants receive high standards of care and support. In the absence of team leaders, this role involves direct management of service delivery, staff coordination, develop care plans and deliver quality supports to our mates.
The Service Manager will supervise direct service operations under the guidance of the General Manager and may be required to provide direct support to clients as needed.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage all designated SIL facilities
- Lead staff recruitment, rostering, performance management, and development
- Conduct regular on-site visits to monitor service quality and compliance
- Oversee incident reporting procedures and implement risk mitigation strategies
- Ensure compliance with NDIS regulations and organisational policies
- Drive continuous quality improvement and uphold best practice standards
- Team management, leading teams to deliver excellence in disability care
- Perform On-call duties as part of a rotating roster.
- Onboarding of new participants including service agreements, customer profiles, care and capacity building planning, support scheduling and worker participant matching.
- Stakeholder engagement, meet with participants, family, allied health providers and support coordinators including face to face and online meetings.
- Maintain high NDIS quality and safeguards compliance standards across all areas of service delivery and support Audits and reviews as required.
**Required Skills and Qualities**:
- Professional and respectful demeanour
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
- Strong organisational and time management capabilities
- Proficiency with IT systems, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and client management platforms
- Experience rostering and with the use of the Brevity app or similar platform.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to foster positive relationships with clients and stakeholders
- Be familiar with the use of Proda and NDIS commission websites.
**Qualifications and Clearances**:
- Certificate IV or Diploma in Community Services or an equivalent qualification
- Relevant industry experience at least 2 years in a similar or adjacent industry role
- Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card)
- Current Police Clearance check
- Current Queensland Driver’s Licence

**Job Type**: Full-Time: 8.00am to 16.00pm Monday to Friday
