Duties:

· Inspecting fresh produce, spices, dairy, meats, and other ingredients to ensure authenticity and quality.

· Preparing and cooking a variety of Indian curries, breads, appetizers, and wood-fired pizzas.

· Seasoning dishes with traditional Indian spices and herbs, and adjusting flavours during cooking.

· Monitoring and controlling the heat of wood-fired pizza ovens, tandoors, grills, and stovetops.

· Portioning meals, plating dishes, and enhancing presentation with sauces, chutneys, gravies, and garnishes.

· Safely storing ingredients in refrigeration, freezers, and dry storage with correct temperature control.

· Preparing meals to accommodate vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other special dietary needs.

· Assisting in planning menus, estimating food and ingredient requirements, and minimizing wastage.

· Providing guidance and on-the-job training to junior cooks, apprentices, and kitchen staff.

· Clean the kitchen, kitchen equipment and work stations/areas to ensure sanitation standards are met.

Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:

Education: Minimum of Diploma level Education in related field

Experience: At least 1 year of highly relevant experience

Skills –

· Food presentation & plating

· Quality control & consistency

· Time management under pressure

· Food safety & hygiene compliance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $75,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
