Experienced Cook in Middle Eastern Cuisine – Byron Bay | $80K + Super

We are seeking a talented and passionate Cook with strong kitchen leadership and a proven background in Middle Eastern cuisine to join our growing venue in beautiful Byron Bay.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, permanent position offering $80,000 per annum plus super. You'll be working in a fast-paced, small team environment where quality, consistency, and teamwork are key. You will oversee kitchen operations, ensure high standards of food preparation and hygiene, and manage day-to-day kitchen responsibilities.

What We're Looking For:

Minimum 2 years' experience cooking authentic Middle Eastern cuisine (essential).

Preparing and cooking all menu items according to established recipes, standards, and plating guides.

Strictly following food safety and hygiene protocols for the workstation and equipment.

Accurately measuring and portioning ingredients to specification, and minimising food waste at the station.

Assisting with inventory by accurately tracking and reporting stock levels and ingredient needs to the supervisor.

Reviewing and understanding incoming food orders and cooking instructions, paying close attention to any listed allergies or dietary restrictions.

Maintaining a clean, sanitary, and organised kitchen workstation at all times.

Working collaboratively with the kitchen team and following the direction of the chef.

In depth knowledge of cooking techniques and ingredients specific to the Middle Eastern menu.
