Tell me about this role:

Seeking expressions of interest for Material Logistics Officers to join our team on a permanent basis. This role will see perform Logistics tasks related to Defence Maritime programs.

These role offers uncapped training and development opportunities as well as other benefits including flexible working and different leave arrangements including paid parental, study, reserve, and volunteer leave.

What will I be doing day to day?

  • Perform ILS functions, in particular Spares Inventory Management
  • Conduct procurement of maintenance spares
  • Lead tender activities to procure maintenance stores requirements for the long term
  • Assist Platform Manager to establish, manage and monitor principles, procedures and systems
  • Create and maintain complex management tools using common commercial software e.g. Excel spreadsheets & Access databases
  • Perform basic Warehousing tasks and contribute to compliance with stocktaking and auditing regimes

What sort of skills do I need?

  • Demonstrated experience in operating within a Logistics management systems
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of inventory management systems across a range of functions
  • Proficiency in a range of ICT programs that allow the capture, interpretation and presentation of bulk data
  • Strong communication skills
  • Process orientated with good attention to detail
  • Hold a minimum NV1 security clearance (must be an Australian citizen)
