We are currently seeking an experienced Stores Supervisor to lead and manage our Cairns Facility Stores operations. This is a critical role for an organised, detail-oriented logistics professional with strong leadership skills and a solid understanding of aviation compliance requirements.

Your Responsibilities

As the Stores Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in managing the day-to-day operations of the Jet Aviation Cairns Stores team and ensuring the timely, compliant, and cost-effective handling of aircraft parts and materials. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Regulatory Compliance:
  
  Ensure all parts and materials are stored, tracked, and handled in line with Jet Aviation policies and applicable civil aviation regulations (VH and foreign registered aircraft).
• Team Leadership & Coordination:
  
  Provide direction, coaching, and job allocation for the Stores team. Oversee workload, deadlines, and performance to meet operational targets and customer expectations.
• Customer & Stakeholder Support:
  
  Respond to internal and external queries or support the Maintenance Supervisors and Managers in addressing customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Inventory Management:
  
  Monitor and control inventory levels, track parts movement, maintain accurate records in the ERP system, and conduct regular audits to ensure data integrity, including annual stock takes.
• Procurement & Logistics Oversight:
  
  Support parts procurement for assigned projects, ensuring timely ordering, receipt, and dispatch of stock while managing core returns and customer-owned parts.
• Operational Efficiency:
  
  Identify opportunities to improve processes and support resource utilisation to meet cost, delivery, and quality goals.
• Safety & Compliance Leadership:
  
  Promote and ensure adherence to Jet Aviation's WHS and Environmental programs across Stores operations.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and processes.
• Proven experience in a Stores/Logistics role within aviation maintenance or a similar regulated environment.
• Understanding of aviation part handling requirements and relevant regulatory standards.
• Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team to deliver consistent results.
• Demonstrated experience working in a customer-focused environment.
• Formal qualifications or significant experience in team leadership or logistics management.
• Dangerous goods handling knowledge.
• Highly motivated, with strong initiative and personal accountability.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

You must be comfortable working in an aviation maintenance facility, including hangar and warehouse settings, and occasionally exposed to noise, fumes, and varying weather conditions. The role requires physical stamina to perform functions such as lifting, standing, and equipment handling.
