About The Role
Due to an internal promotion within the team, the
Western Roads Upgrade
contract require a
Commercial Administrator
to join their team based out of the
Laverton North
Depot for a
Permanent Full-Time
position.

The Commercial Administrator will be responsible for providing commercial and administrative support to ensure the effective financial and contractual management of the contract.

This role ensures compliance with contractual obligations, accurate cost control and timely processing of documentation to support the delivery of high-quality maintenance services within budget and schedule.

Role Responsibilities

  • Subcontractor management; claims, variations, compliance, defects, risk.
  • Assist with budgeting, expenditure, variations.
  • Provide guidance and lead communication of industry changes in legislation, standards, methodologies and best practices in line with relevant policy and procedures.
  • Assistance with preparing financial and management reporting on a monthly basis and other periodical / ad hoc reporting to meet the needs of the business.
  • Assistance with reviewing Cost Reports, analyse data and providing timely advice and recommendations for the financial management of the projects.
  • Assistance with the development of procurement strategies to minimise risk and improve project profitability.

About You
To be successful in your application you will have a a tertiary qualification in Commerce, Construction, Engineering or similar accompanied with:

  • Knowledge of cost planning and construction control principles and practices
  • Working experience with contracts and commercial procedures
  • Ability to read and comprehend engineering design documents (Desirable)
  • Experience working with the MS Office suite, SAP or similar ERP systems
  • Proficient in Commercials and negotiation
