Labourer

Boongalla Group are a leading commercial restoration / construction company based in Bayswater, servicing areas all over Victoria. We are looking to add a full time Labourer to join our rapidly growing business.

About You

As the successful applicant, you will form part of a varied team of trades who are responsible for restoration and reinstatement of commercial properties. This role includes working across multiple worksites and includes coordinating with customers. Your key duties will include:

· Initiate, control and complete all regular HVAC cleaning works, adhering to NADCA standards and guidelines

· General labouring duties: load/unload materials, assisting with carpentry and restorative works, lifting, moving and handling a wide range of building materials, and general clean and tidy-up of sites and frequent driving

  • Liaise with internal office staff, project managers & external clients
  • Adhere to legislative and regulatory requirements such as OHS legislation and risk management, assessing hazardous components of each project as required.
  • Timely completion of administrational duties such as site diaries and compliance requirements
  • Work away from home on occasion
  • Work a rotating on-call roster, including afterhours shifts

Key Selection Criteria:

· Previous labouring experience in commercial works highly desirable

· Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills are essential

· Attention to detail and adherence to administrational requirements

· Willing to travel for work, able to respond to after hours / weekend work, and participate in a regular On Call roster.

· Professionalism, with a strong work ethic and proactive nature

· Must have a 'can do' approach and strong work ethics with a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes as our business continues to grow.

Qualifications:

· Current Drivers Licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card)

· Have a current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willing to obtain one)

· EWP and/or WAH tickets highly desirable
