Experienced Painter

Boongalla Group are a leading commercial restoration / construction company based in Bayswater, servicing areas all over Victoria. We are looking to add an experienced full time Painter to join our rapidly growing business.

As the successful applicant, you will form part of a varied team of trades who are responsible for restoration and reinstatement of commercial properties. This role includes working across multiple worksites and includes coordinating with customers. Your key duties will include:

• General commercial painting works, (including surface preparation, repair works, using fillers such as putty and plaster to repair cracks, painting Internal and external surfaces, other maintenance works to support function as needed)
• Liaise with internal office staff, project managers & external clients
• Timely completion of administrational duties such as site diaries and compliance requirements
• General manual labour duties including lifting and frequent driving
• Oversee subcontractor/labourer works
• Work away from home on occasion
• Work a rotating on-call roster, including afterhours shifts

• Painting trade qualification or equivalent experience
• Trade or industry experience minimum of 3 years is desirable
• Excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills
• Attention to detail and adherence to administrational requirements
• Professionalism, with a strong work ethic and proactive nature
• Enthusiastic, with a 'can do' attitude, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new processes as our business continues to grow.

• Painting trade qualification or equivalent experience
• Full Drivers Licence and Construction Induction Card (White Card)
• Have a current Working with Children Check and Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
• EWP and/or WAH tickets highly desirable
