Job Description

This role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney

NCS Australia is looking for a strategic and driven Sales Lead – Communications, Media & Technology (CMT) to join our growing team. Based in either NSW or VIC, this role offers the opportunity to lead high-impact sales initiatives across our CMT portfolio, helping shape the future of technology in Australia. Reporting to the Telco+ SBG AU Lead, you'll be responsible for identifying and closing complex, multi-year deals, growing existing accounts, and winning net new logos. You'll work across a matrixed organisation, collaborating with Sales, Delivery, and Capability teams to bring innovative solutions to market.

We're seeking someone with a proven track record in strategic sales within the CMT industry, strong business development and negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain executive-level client relationships. Experience working in a matrixed environment is essential, and a background in professional services or strategic sales will be highly regarded. You'll also be expected to represent NCS at industry events, contribute to thought leadership, and actively promote our brand across professional networks.

You'll play a critical role in expanding our customer base and driving sustained growth. Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a similar role leading CMT sales for a tech consultancy, systems integrator or IT services company
  • Exceptional business development capabilities, with a proven ability to identify, shape, and close strategic sales opportunities in the communications, media, and technology (CMT) sector.
  • Demonstrated success in growing new business and expanding client portfolios within professional services and strategic sales environments.
  • Strong experience working within matrixed organisations, collaborating across functions to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Skilled in negotiation and deal closure, with a track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals and revenue targets.
  • Adept at building and nurturing client relationships, including executive-level engagement and industry networking.
  • Solid understanding of system integration technologies, delivery principles, and emerging tech such as cloud, AI, and digital transformation.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to develop sales strategies, manage pipelines, and make data-driven decisions.
