As the organisation continues to grow, a new opportunity has been created for a senior leader to shape and enhance ElectraNet's corporate reputation, strategic engagement and internal culture.
Reporting to the Executive, Corporate Development, the
Head of Strategic Engagement & Corporate Affairs
will lead the development of the function focused on enhancing ElectraNet's reputation, influence and stakeholder relationships. The role will drive the delivery of strategic engagement initiatives, oversee corporate communication and ensure alignment between business objectives, culture and community expectations. This includes managing external government and regulatory relationships, leading proactive and responsive media communications, overseeing issues and crisis management and directing community engagement programs for major infrastructure projects. Internally, the role will shape and embed a strong, values-driven culture within the corporate affairs team, ensuring high performance, collaboration and alignment with organisational priorities. This role will act as a trusted advisor to both executive leadership and the board, ensuring clear and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders while supporting the achievement of ElectraNet's strategic and operational objectives.
A seasoned people leader, you will have a proven track record across the breadth of corporate affairs functions within complex or regulated environments. You will be an influential communicator, confident operating at executive and ministerial levels, with the credibility to provide trusted guidance on high-profile or sensitive matters. You will inspire and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a values-driven culture aligned with ElectraNet's objectives. Experience in community engagement for major infrastructure projects, internal communications and change management will be highly regarded. Relevant tertiary qualifications are essential, with postgraduate study in communications, public affairs or a related discipline desirable.
