The Role

Reporting to the CEO and Board, the newly created role of Head of P&C will be the architect of the company's organisational culture and the catalyst for sustainable business growth. The role will shape and lead the human capital strategy, ensuring it drives organisational excellence and aligns seamlessly with the business objectives. This is a strategic leadership role spanning governance, workforce planning, compliance, and organisational development.

You will be the trusted HR partner to their executive team, providing sophisticated counsel on employment matters, regulatory requirements, and people strategy. Your responsibilities will encompass activity planning, succession management, change leadership, and the delivery of transformational projects, all grounded in employment law, company values, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and execution of the HR strategy in line with overall business strategy.
  • Develop, review and maintain HR frameworks, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Lead governance and risk management for people processes.
  • Design and oversee modern, efficient recruitment and selection processes.
  • Lead workforce planning in alignment with budgeting and forecast needs.
  • Monitor and provide insights on staff retention, diversity, and turnover.
  • Develops a learning strategy that actively supports the capability build and professional development of people within the business.
  • Coach, mentor, and advise managers on performance, feedback, and difficult conversations.
  • Monitor and report on capability build, engagement metrics, and development outcomes.
  • Develop and lead EVP strategy to build a competitive advantage.
  • Maintain and evolve group remuneration and benefits frameworks to stay competitive.
  • Monitor market trends and make recommendations for enhancements.
  • Lead WHS strategy and ensure compliance across the people function.

Required Experience and Capabilities

  • Senior leadership experience in complex, fast paced professional services or comparable environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to add value to leadership decisions.
  • Deep understanding of employment law, WHS, compliance, and risk management.
  • Proven ability to build trust and influence at all levels.
  • Experience in leading remuneration strategies, performance frameworks, learning, and talent management.
  • Excellent coaching, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High autonomy, resilience, initiative, and adaptability.
