An exciting opportunity is available for a Purchasing Officer to join the dynamic team at HSR Southern Cross', a leading waste equipment manufacturing company based in Morisset, NSW. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement and inventory management processes.
What you'll be doing
Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for production and operations
Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts, monitor delivery schedules and resolve any issues
Maintain accurate inventory records and implement systems to optimise stock levels
Prepare purchase orders, invoices and other procurement documentation
Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and make recommendations for cost savings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with production and business objectives
What we're looking for
Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or logistics environment
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software
Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve problems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
