An exciting opportunity is available for a Purchasing Officer to join the dynamic team at HSR Southern Cross', a leading waste equipment manufacturing company based in Morisset, NSW. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of our procurement and inventory management processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the procurement of materials, equipment and services required for production and operations

  • Liaise with suppliers to negotiate contracts, monitor delivery schedules and resolve any issues

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and implement systems to optimise stock levels

  • Prepare purchase orders, invoices and other procurement documentation

  • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing processes and make recommendations for cost savings

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align purchasing activities with production and business objectives

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience in a purchasing or procurement role, ideally within a manufacturing or logistics environment

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills

  • Excellent organisational and time management abilities

  • Proficient in using procurement and inventory management software

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify and resolve problems

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
