Verve Partners are working with a leading provider of innovative solutions for motion control and power transmission. This organisation are committed to delivering excellence in everything they do, from providing top-quality products to ensuring exceptional customer service. As they continue to grow, they are seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Purchasing Advisor.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Manage quotations and negotiate with suppliers to achieve the best commercial outcomes.
- Select the most suitable suppliers and place orders in alignment with cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, from placement to delivery, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Expedite purchase orders and monitor supplier performance to meet project deadlines.
- Provide exceptional customer service and troubleshoot issues for internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinate domestic and international orders with delivery partners, tracking shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
- Review purchase order confirmations for accuracy and compliance with engineering specifications.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate order and logistics information for project deliveries.
- Support warehouse operations and contribute to inventory management processes.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance purchasing processes and efficiency.
**Requirements**:
- Strong customer focus and proactive approach to delivering outstanding support.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, cross-functional teams.
- Resilience and problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
- Proficient communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
- Attention to detail with proficient written and verbal communication.
- Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- CIPS or APICS Certification (Desirable).
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the industry.
