Are you a seasoned accounting professional with a knack for precision? We're looking for a
Consolidations Accounting Manager
to play a key role in our finance controlling team for a 12 month full-time contract period.
In this position, you'll be responsible for ensuring our consolidated financial statements are complete, accurate, and robust. You'll be pivotal in producing the financial reports that provide a true and fair view of our group's financial health, both for internal management and external stakeholders.
This is more than just a reporting role—it's about building and maintaining the processes that give us a clear and reliable picture of our performance. If you have a meticulous eye for detail and a passion for accurate accounting, we want to hear from you.

Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Manages preparation of the Group's monthly consolidations within the SAP BPC reporting system
- Ensures robust processes and controls are in place with regards to this process
- Manages relationships with reporting stakeholders to ensure their reporting needs are met
- Process improvement initiatives are actively determined and implemented (consideration of changing process from "push" by business units to be "pull" from this team, in terms of data submissions, including taking maintenance of mapping tables in house.
- Manages preparation of various analyses supporting half year and year end external reporting processes, including external audit
- Leads an active program of feedback to business units to ensure never ending improvement to their data submissions - issues formal instructions and policy (working with the External Reporting / Financial Control teams) where needed
- Interacts with Woolworths Finance Shared Services team on various accounting matters
- Issues timetables and instructions as appropriate, and drives relentless compliance with timetable commitments and disciplines
- Introduces necessary tasks, checks and exception reporting to build control and process environment, leading to high levels of data completeness and accuracy
- Actively manages user access to BPC through supervision of user access list and approval processes.
- Works with FP&A team to assess for optimised processes with loading of forecast and budget data
- To assist in our transformation project, in relation to implementation of a replacement system to BPC
What do we need from you
Now Let's Talk About You
- 7+ years of experience within financial accounting roles, with at least 3 years of consolidations experience
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications.
- Qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
- Broad technical accounting knowledge
- Results driven with the ability to work under pressure in order to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organisation.
- Demonstrated ability to influence, facilitate, and negotiate effectively.
- Sound judgement in decision-making and problem-solving.
- Able to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- External audit experience (Desirable)
- Prior experience working in large and complex, multi stakeholder environments (Desirable)
- Google Suite knowledge (including BigQuery and Connected Sheets) - (Desirable)
