We currently have a Permanent Part-time Receptionist & Administrator position available to join our team
Depsypher Mental Health Services (DMHS) are looking for a 'front of house' receptionist and administrator to work closely with the Practice Manager, Clinical Directors, and clinicians, to ensure the practice delivers professional, compassionate, and friendly services to patients, referrers, and other visitors.
The role will involve general reception, administration, and clerical duties; as well as assisting to maintain therapy equipment and resources. The position will involve regular contact with children, adolescents, and adults presenting to the clinic and eligible applicants must have a Working with Children Check (WWCC).
DMHS will provide a workplace where you can learn, grow and, most importantly, enjoy your critical role in the practice.
Employment Type:
- Permanent Part-time
- Hours per week: 20
- Fixed hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday (Week 1); Thursday and Friday (Week 2). Hours.
Week 1:
- Monday 11:30am – 8pm (penalty rates apply from 6pm)
- Tuesday 8:30am – 5pm
- Wednesday 8:30am – 5pm
Week 2
- Thursday 11:30am – 8pm (penalty rates apply from 6pm)
- Friday 8:30am – 5pm
In addition to the above hours, there will be the possibility to cover the Practice Manager during periods of leave, dependent on clinic needs
- Commencing Salary: $29.07/hr (Support Services Employee Level 5, Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020)
Key duties include, but are not limited to:
· Provision of high-level customer service to clients, stakeholders and visitors
· Monitoring reception mailbox and actioning emails
· Managing all client bookings and follow up
· Electronic records management and collecting and compiling information and preparing documentation and correspondence.
· Accepting payments, invoicing, and receipting
· Responsibility of opening and closing the clinic
Essential requirements:
- A valid NSW Working With Children Check
- Experience in providing administration support (with preference for experience in medical administration).
- A positive, friendly attitude, with a genuine desire to work with this rewarding but challenging population.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
Selection criteria:
- Demonstrates highly professional, engaging, and inclusive phone, written, and in-person interactions with clients and stakeholders
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong digital literacy and data entry skills and proficiency in using Microsoft applications, and database programs (i.e. Halaxy)
- Sound organisational skills, effective time management, ability to problem solve and can perform under pressure.
- A problem-solving style with the ability to troubleshoot and be solutions focused
Highly desirable:
- Previous experience in administrator roles in allied health or similar services
