We're looking for a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Payroll and Administration Professional to join our warm and welcoming team at Bendigo Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Services in Bendigo. This part-time role is perfect for someone who loves keeping things running smoothly, supporting our amazing team, and going above and beyond to deliver exceptional customer service to every client.

As part of our team, you'll manage payroll and administrative tasks with care and enthusiasm, ensuring our employees are supported, our operations run smoothly, and our customers receive top-notch service. What You'll Do

  • Keep the pay flowing: Handle the payroll process, from timesheets to wages, ensuring everyone gets paid accurately and on time.
  • Stay organized: Keep employee records up to date and ensure we're meeting all legal and compliance requirements.
  • Tackle tax tasks: Assist with EOFY preparations, payroll tax, BAS, IAS, and FBT responsibilities.
  • Support our team: Help with paperwork for commercial claims, policies, OHS, and WorkCover claims.
  • Champion our apprentices: Manage apprenticeship sign-ups, claims, and work with RTOs to set our apprentices up for success.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service: Answer phones, respond to customer queries with warmth and professionalism, schedule jobs, and go the extra mile to ensure every customer has a great experience.
  • Pitch in with daily tasks: Assist with accounts reconciliation, receivables, and payables to keep everything running smoothly.

Who You Are

  • You have some experience in payroll or administration (bonus points if it's in accounting or payroll) and a curiosity to keep learning.
  • You're passionate about customer service, always going above and beyond to make every interaction positive and memorable for our clients.
  • You've got a sharp eye for detail and stay calm and accurate even when things get busy.
  • You're excited to learn new programs, skills, or even a bit about the HVAC world
  • You're a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, comfortable connecting with employees, suppliers, and customers alike.
  • You're familiar with Xero and Microsoft Office. If you know Simpro, that's a plus, but we're happy to help you learn
