About the position

Are you an enthusiastic HR professional looking to grow your career in a dynamic and rewarding environment?  We're looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about human resources and eager to take the next step in their career.  Girton Grammar School is seeking a motivated HR Coordinator to join our team and play a vital role in supporting our staff and school.  Working across all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This generalist role involves a variety of responsibilities, including:

  • Supporting recruitment and onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires.
  • Managing compliance and maintaining accurate employee records.
  • Preparing correspondence and assisting with HR documentation.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate HR administration throughout the employment lifecycle.
  • Collaborating with and assisting payroll to ensure the accuracy of data.
  • Work within the school community to foster a positive workplace environment.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field, or a recognised qualification in Human Resources or a related discipline, combined with relevant work experience, preferably in an educational setting.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage own workload, meet deadlines and pay attention to detail.
  • Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds.
  • Strong skills in the use of information and communication technologies (ICT), including HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
