
Channel Marketing Manager

About the Role: Our client Samsung Electronics is on the lookout for a Channel Marketing Manager to join their team on a 12-month fixed-term contract based at the Sydney Olympic Park Office This role requires the candidate to work in the office 4 days a week with 1 day work from home.
You will be the marketing leader across your assigned partner account (Open Channel Retail Partners). You will need to be a passionate and proactive marketer that is in constant pursuit to drive sell-out through 'BEST IN CLASS' marketing solutions. You will have a good understanding of the marketing mix and be strong at working with data and insights to drive end-to-end solutions across digital & social, brand, media and in retail.
In partnership with your Open Channel Retail Partner Account Managers (NAMs) you will also be the face of your account internally and externally and an ambassador for the Samsung brand with your assigned account and all 3rd party suppliers & partners.
This position will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, and will help identify unique opportunities to deliver against business objectives, whilst carefully tracking budgets and results.
The key measurement metrics you will use include:
- Marketing: PTO / BAS / NPS (Customer & Staff)
- Sales: Revenue / Market Share
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Marketing Strategy & Planning
- With your accounts stakeholders bring together the best of Samsung with the best of
- your assigned account to create an exclusive differentiated channel marketing
- proposition from which to build an annual strategic marketing plan
- From this formulate key strategic pillars that will drive growth in your account firstly annually then by quarter
- Onboard all key stakeholders (internally & externally) to ensure alignment and support of this plan
- Build out your plan annually and then by quarter ensuring key check points are in place to review, tweak / amend and it has the relevant budget support
- Ensure key stakeholders are managed through every step of the strategy and planning process
- First and foremost you are a marketer, show a passion and hunger for all things marketing
- Ensure you are staying up to date with trends, tools and techniques that can approve your skill set and drive the account and Samsung marketing team
- Be hungry and relentless in pursuit of delivering best in class marketing campaigns, learning from yours and your peers campaigns to drive improvements
- Be proactive with the brand and product team to ensure you are up to speed on any new initiatives / campaigns or quickly across any amends / changes to existing campaigns
- Ensure an excellent working relationship with your assigned accounts (Open Channel Retail Partners) across all areas of business. To include: financials, marketing and partner relationships
- Understand the Samsung business model and be clear on how your role impacts the sale of all mobility products within your channel
- Working with your account stakeholders), ensuring complete control of the financial running of your assigned account (Telstra) including co-operative marketing funds. Plan, set and deliver strong annual / quarterly and monthly budget plans along with budget plans for all projects.
- Always be looking for opportunities to drive efficiencies and money saving opportunities through business acumen
- Show fantastic operational skills to deliver projects and campaigns that are best in class, inside and outside of category – don't settle for 2nd best. You are the driving force of your account, without you things won't happen.
- Have a great understanding of processes and requirements of the internal team while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget
- If things change, which they will, ensure you are updating stakeholders, managing expectations, recalculating plans & budgets (if required) and setting revised delivery timings ·
- Always be evaluating, documenting, learning and sharing operational experiences. Above all show ownership, it's your account
- It's crucial you understand your assigned accounts (Open Channel Retail Partners) business to ensure Samsung maximises all opportunities throughout their estate. Therefore you will need too:
- Have a deep knowledge of your assigned account
- Fully understand their brand, financial & operational structure, customer audience and product offerings
- You'll have great relationships throughout with key stakeholders
- Along with your internal account stakeholders be seen as a trustworthy and reliable face of Samsung – someone who can help get things done
- Be respected for your work and admired as enjoyable person to work with

You're passionate about marketing and have 5yrs channel/trade marketing experience working across the marketing mix (Can show examples of where your marketing has driven business growth)
You have experience managing large budgets or P&Ls and are capable of working under pressure in fast paced environments while at building and managing stakeholder relationships (internal & external)
You proactively collaborate and work well within a team while showing ownership and accountability for your account/work.
You are extremely comfortable with Office 365 products including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
You have strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to author and design presentations.
You have strong project management skills with ability to autonomously implement and execute.
