The Role:

Next Gen Flooring have developed a team capable of delivering projects of a high quality and built a reputation for service and reliability. We are seeking an Estimatorto join our team, to provide prepare accurate estimates and quotations, and support the Project Management Team to deliver the work.

This is a permanent full-time position based in Gepps Cross, South Australia. Travel throughout Adelaide to visit job sites may be required. This role will work closely with the Project Managers to provide support during project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Drivers license (Class C)
  • Excellent computer and math skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Previous experience in a similar role is a significant advantage

Key areas of responsibility include:

Quoting & Estimation - 80%

  • Utilisation of various computer software to estimate and quote jobs including MeasureSquare, Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Interpreting tender documents, plans and all supporting documents from online portals including Aconex and EstimateOne.
  • Timely delivery of quotes to clients.
  • Quote acceptance including ordering materials and preparing projects for hand over to the Project Manager.
  • Performing site visits to engage with clients, assess flooring requirements, site measure and establish expectations about project delivery.

Project Support and Client Services - 20%

  • Working closely with the Project Managers throughout the project installation process.
  • Support the project in line with the agreed budget, including review and approval of variation requests, monitoring of progress costs, and to agreed schedules.
  • Engaging with suppliers and providers to develop quotes.
  • Participation in staff and client entertainment opportunities to develop new relationships and maintain existing ones.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients, suppliers and installers.

The ability to learn, problem solve and grow relationships is paramount, alongside high computer competency and numeracy skills. You will also have strong organisational ability, excellent attention to detail and time management skills.
