About the Role: This position is for a well known Engineering company (Steel fabrication and erection specialist) based in Adelaide, operating within both commercial and residential sectors.
The company has a long-established history, having completed thousands of projects and built strong relationships with clients.
A focus on teamwork, engagement, ownership, and support is essential for achieving quality objectives.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities:
Coordinate and Supervision

Coordinate, manage and monitor the workings of estimating.
Responsible for the efficient and productive Estimation of Structural Steel.
Promote and quote Structural Steel products and services that they offer
Co-ordinate, establish and monitor steel quotes
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of Structural Steel Strategies
Assist in the development and monitoring of Structural steel budgets
Liaise between clients and workshop for job amendments, progress, scheduling, etc.
Measure and provide quotations and consultation for Structural Steel products and services
Negotiate and follow-up with clients, builders, engineers, architects and drafting on quotations and specifications
Liaise with customers and Management regarding:

Quotes
Orders Pricing
Re pricing
Amendments to drawings
Variations
Budgets

Provide estimations and quotations for steel lintels
Responsible for estimating Variation Order (VO's) for the Project Managers
Process structural steel quotes into orders
Produce and maintain statistics on structural steel quotations
Phone sales and service
Identify and raise Improvement Notices
Implementation of corrective actions

Best Practices

Improve processes and policies in support of organizational goals.
Participate in organizational policies and procedures to maximise outputs.
Monitor adherence to rules, regulations and procedures.
Assist Systems Manager to manage the Company's Quality Management System
Assist Systems Manager to manage the Company's WHS system
Work within and enforce the organizations Work Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
Work within and enforce the organizations Quality Management System

Education and Experience

3rd Level degree in Estimating/QS/Construction (Or relevant Degree)
Relevant experience in a similar industry (Open on years of Experience - Can be Junior/Intermediate/Senior)
Ideally will have Steel fabrication and erection industry experience
