About the Role
The Procurement and Contracts Officer are responsible for partnering with business stakeholders to plan, develop and support procurement and contract activities across Baptcare, and assisting the Head of Procurement to effectively meet Baptcare's business objectives. The Procurement and Contracts Officer will be the first point of contract for all procurement and contract activities.
Key Duties
- Partner with stakeholders to plan, develop and support procurement activities to effectively meet Baptcare's business objectives.
- Support cross-functional teams during each stage of procurement activity to ensure effective administration of all procurement processes and compliance with all procurement policies.
- Provide procurement support in relation to planning, sourcing, tendering processes, supplier evaluation and selection, contracting, supplier and contract management regarding goods and services procured by Baptcare.
- Development and maintenance of the central contract depository.
- Development of analytical data reports.
- Fleet management of Baptcare motor vehicle fleet.
- Work with internal and external legal resources on implementation of supplier contracts.
About you
You will ideally bring the following:
- Relevant experience and/or tertiary qualifications in business, procurement, contract management, commerce, or related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting a procurement and contracts function and/or team with an emphasis on hands-on operational management and delivery of key outcomes and targets.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and attention to detail in reviewing, negotiating, and working with contractual agreements.
- Ability to work across all levels of the organisation and adapt to the best practice approach accordingly.
- Strong administrative skills, including attention to detail and time management skills, and the ability to deal with competing deadlines and priorities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Highly developed interpersonal communication and influencing skills with a proven ability to maintain good working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Commitment and capacity to deliver quality support services and ongoing professional development.
