Join us at the Australian Physiotherapy Association as our Online Community Coordinator in a part-time capacity, working four days a week.

This role offers a contract duration of 12 to 24 months.

Working Arrangements

This is a hybrid position where some of your days are spent amongst a small friendly team in the office and some days you can work from home. On the days you are at the office, you will enjoy modern amenities and FREE secure undercover parking with easy access to public transport. When you work from home you will have quality equipment and services to support you. Melbourne based candidates preferred.

About the role:

As our Online Community Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing member engagement and connectivity within our vibrant community. Working within the Member Experience division, you will collaborate with a dynamic team to design, launch, and sustain a secure online platform aimed at facilitating member collaboration, learning, and information sharing.

Key responsibilities:

You'll enjoy a varied role where you'll:

  • Monitor daily activity across the online community, ensuring discussions align with community guidelines and organisational values
  • Respond to member queries, escalate issues where appropriate, and foster respectful, constructive interactions
  • Work closely with key content contributors, subject matter experts and other APA teams to source, develop and share high-value posts, resources and discussions
  • Curate weekly/monthly content - including highlights, discussion threads and member spotlights
  • Build engagement campaigns aligned with broader organisational goals, events and priorities
  • Welcome new members and connect them with relevant groups, content and peers
  • Monitor community health metrics and provide regular reports on community engagement
  • Gather member feedback to refine community features and initiatives
  • Encourage collaboration and networking between members, recognising and celebrating their contributions
  • Stay abreast of best practices in community management for continuous improvement.

About you and Selection Criteria

We're open to the successful person in this role bringing their experience from one of two career backgrounds. You may have a background in marketing, communications or social media, or alternatively you may have experience as a physiotherapist, or other experience within the health sector and be looking for a career change.
