Group Sales Manager

What's the role?

CommBank Connect is expanding, and we're looking for a dynamic Group Sales Manager to lead our Melbourne team and drive continued growth across major and independent media agencies.

In this key leadership role, you'll own senior external relationships while fostering a high-performing internal culture through coaching, development, and market engagement. As a custodian of the CommBank brand, your focus will be on delivering exceptional client outcomes and strengthening our position in the market.

This full-time, hybrid role is based in Melbourne and reports directly to the Head of Sales. You'll be supported by a passionate team and empowered to lead from the front — driving revenue growth, elevating client partnerships, and shaping the next chapter of CommBank Connect's success.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and coach the team to help them reach their full potential and thrive in a culture of positivity.

• Foster a high-performance culture of collaboration and creativity to ensure commercial business goals are met.

• Interpret industry trends and guide the team to deliver creative, content-led solutions that exceed client expectations.

• Identify opportunities for the business to grow/diversify revenue. 

• Bring your proven experience in tailoring media advertising solutions to this role, where your innovative ideas will be embraced.

Who are you?

• You will have demonstrated experience as a sales leader, ideally within an Agency and/or Media environment. 

• You're a commercially astute media sales leader who demonstrated a collaborative and dynamic leadership style. 

• You have a natural ability to thrive in complex and fast-moving businesses.

• You're able to confidently present and engage with key clients and senior management.

• You can effectively communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve desired commercial outcomes. 

• You have outstanding negotiation skills - you're known for being able to think strategically and act tactically.
