The Role

  • Manages resources of the Office to maximise efficiency, effectiveness and responsiveness.
  • Leads and manages the executive support team to deliver fit for purpose executive and administrative services for the Division's executive. Identifies current and future capability and capacity requirements and develops staff and services to meet needs.
  • Maintains awareness of internal and external issues and sensitivities. Advises the Commissioner and executive of emerging issues and risks and recommends options for management and resolution of matters.
  • Undertakes special research and projects of a confidential and/or sensitive nature on behalf of the Commissioner and executive.
  • Ensures compliance with all relevant public sector legislation, regulations, and guidelines in respect to Divisional and Departmental business processes.
  • Analyses and provides high level briefings and advice to the Commissioner and executive.
