About The Push-Up Challenge
Since 2017, The Push-Up Challenge has engaged over 1,000,000 participants, raised more than $70 million for mental health programs and inspired many communities to push for better mental health. Each year, participants complete push-ups that recognises annual lives lost to suicide, while learning daily mental health facts and fundraising for leading mental health charities.
In addition to Australia, The Push-Up Challenge model has been successfully proven in Canada since 2024 and with two new international implementations currently in progress, The Push-Up Challenge is continuing to grow its international footprint and impact.
About This Role
As part of The Push For Better Foundation, the role is Based in Perth and works to the high-level strategic direction as agreed by the Board. The inaugural CEO will focus on the ongoing evolution of The Push-Up Challenge's systems and processes to modularise operations and create repeatable and scalable steps through technology driven initiatives. In time, the CEO will also lead the diversification of impact programs.
This role is intended to transition in the short term and replace the Founder in the overall leadership and management of The Push-Up Challenge and related initiatives, ensuring sustainable growth, overseeing operations and managing resources.
In leading a passionate and energetic team, having a strong people focus will be critical to the success of this role.
You will build and maintain respected relationships with key charity partners, donors, sponsors and community groups, managing a diverse mix of stakeholders.
About You
You are an inspirational people leader who is self-aware, supportive and values-driven.
A proven capacity to scale organisations with appropriate systems, processes and KPIs internally, whilst also having the skills to build strong and respected stakeholder relationships externally will be essential.
As CEO, it is also expected you will have strong commercial acumen across finance, budgeting and driving financial sustainability. Marketing and communications exposure will also be valuable.
Digital literacy and respect for evolving technologies (not high-end technical, but more related to be able to ask the right questions) will be highly regarded, as will experience reporting to a Board Chair.
You will also respect and empathise with this relatively unique opportunity to transition The Push-Up Challenge from a founder-led organisation through the next step in its evolution as a successful global 'for purpose' organisation.
