About the role
We are looking for a well organised, enthusiastic, self-motivated person who will be responsible for the day to day accounts and administration duties of the business.
Reporting to the General Manager, this is a hands on part-time role perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to take ownership of managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, and reporting, while building strong relationships across the company.
This role offers an excellent work-life balance, including the flexibility of a hybrid working arrangement after training in the role is completed.
Duties and responsibilities
- You will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate financial records including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger
- Process invoices and payments in Xero
- Process end to end payroll in compliance with awards and legislation
- Maintain employee records including superannuation, leave, and entitlements in Employment Hero
- Bank reconciliations and account balancing
- Prepare BAS, PAYG, and superannuation reporting
- Support month end and year end close processes
- Liaise with external accountants and auditors as required
- General Administrative duties
Skills and experience
The successful candidate will have:
- At least 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable functions with good understanding of accounting procedures.
- Experience in processing payroll
- High level of attention to detail with proven level of quality and accuracy of work.
- Experience using Xero software.
- Strong reconciliation skills.
- Great communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks
- Intermediate level of Word and Excel.
