Accounts Payable Officer
Location: Chatswood, NSW
Duration: 3 months
Pay: $40 per hour + super
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, 1 day WFH
This is a hands-on remit with real ownership of AP, close proximity to the finance leadership, and the opportunity to refine processes within a supportive team environment.
Your day to day:
- Process vendor invoices in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and Xero; run weekly EFT payment batches.
- Own the AP inbox, actioning items daily.
- Manage staff expense reimbursements weekly.
- Process reimbursement batch payments, liaise with operations, and upload PO-level journals to the accounting system.
- Support month-end close with timely AP reports.
About you:
- 3–5+ years' experience in a similar AP role, with strong technical accounting knowledge.
- Degree in Accounting/Finance (or equivalent experience).
- Proficiency in Excel (intermediate to advanced).
- Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and/or Xero is preferred.
- Excellent, concise communication; proactive, team-first mindset and a strong "can-do" attitude.
