Join our Engaged Communities
team and play a key role in delivering high-quality support across
communications and administration. This fast-paced role blends financial tasks,
content creation, digital assistance and responding to communications related
enquiries.
- Be part
of a creative, community-focused team delivering meaningful communications
across Council initiatives. - Play a
key role in producing our fortnightly internal newsletter, Mfocus, keeping
staff informed and engaged - Enjoy a
dynamic mix of admin, content creation, and supplier coordination in a

About the role
This role provides administrative and
communications support to the Engaged Communities team. Key duties include
financial administration, basic graphic design tasks, content creation for
internal and external channels and contributing to communication and engagement
initiatives. It also involves maintaining digital content and documenting
processes to improve efficiency.
Skills and experience
/ About you
You are
seeking an entry-level pathway into the workforce, looking to create a
foundation for a career in communications
- A recent graduate of a tertiary
degree in Communications and/or another relevant field (within the last 2
years). - Experienced using Microsoft Teams and Office
365. - Customer focussed with the
ability to build relationships with people internally and respond to
communications related enquiries from community members. - Flexible and able to respond to changing
priorities and complete tasks within tight timeframes. - Knowledgeable in office administration systems
and processes. - You are a problem solver
with a sound understanding of communication practices and systems.
